About us
The Cambodia Democracy Council is organized and shall be operated on a not-for-profit basis and exclusively for social welfare within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding provisions of any future United States federal tax law). The specific purposes of this corporation are:
Primarily focus on education and advocacy on important issues to promote human rights and democracy, and strengthen the rule of law to Cambodia by: (1) actively voicing our concerns on issues regarding human rights and democracy, (2) seeking supports from the United States lawmakers, the United States government, and the international community such as the United Nations (UN), the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the European Union (EU), and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to hold individuals accountable for undermining human rights and democracy, and (3) seeking supports from Cambodian community around the world.
